In the beginning:
After Adam and Eve sinned, they hid themselves.
They sewed together leaves to cover themselves.
But the Lord rejected those coverings
and clothed them with animal skins.
This was the beginning
of the revelation of redemption.
It was God himself who made the coverings for them
- out of animal skins -
to show that atonement has to be
by the blood of the lamb.
A lamb for each man, each woman.

Unfolding the revelation...
Passover
Judgment was about to fall upon all of Egypt where the children of Israel were there in captivity. The Lord told his people through Moses that judgment was coming and that they were to sacrifice
- A LAMB -
and put its blood upon their doorposts, on the top, then on each upper side, a picture of a cross.
When the angel of death went through the land every house that had the blood of the lamb on its doorpost was "passed over," celebrated every year on the feast of Passover.
They were saved by the blood of the lamb.
A lamb for a family.

The revelation expands...
The Temple
Each year, on the feast of Yom Kippur, the high priest was to take the blood of the sacrificed lamb into the Holy of Holies and offer that blood as atonement for the sins of God's people. He then took that blood and sprinkled them with it, and their sins were forgiven.
A lamb for a nation.

The Total Revelation... completing the picture
John the Baptist was sent to prepare the people for the coming of the Messiah. One day while John was ministering, he looked up and saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
The Lamb for the world.
A lamb for a man,
A lamb for a family,
A lamb for a nation,
A Lamb for the world.
Jesus, Yeshua in Hebrew means "salvation."
He died for our salvation ...on the day of Passover
For redemption to take place, each person must personally apply the blood of the Lamb to his heart.
